Oberon is a periodical on art in the world.

Oberon preferences a slower, less frenzied conversation around art and culture, giving writers and artists the chance to develop ideas, and readers the space to think. Each edition sees guest-edited sections of texts bridged by poetic sequences of images, supported by a comprehensive annotated index of images.

In making Oberon as a printed periodical, we are thinking about how each edition can exists as both a companion to the world of art that surround us today, while also living on the shelf, to be turned to in years to come.

Oberon is designed to be held but you can view excerpts from Oberon 1 and Oberon 2 online.

In 2017 we are launching Peryton, a wine bar and exhibition space in central Copenhagen. As an extension of the Oberon, Peryton is a place to experiment with the editorial processes of the magazine in a physical setting as well as to locate the content of the magazine – it’s themes, questions and artists – within the community.

Oberon 2 was published in March 2016. Oberon 3 is currently in production and will be out in early 2017.

Oberon is published by the makers of Das Superpaper, and Rococo Productions, a freelance production house.
